Scholarships for foreign education:
I gave the SAT in 11th but my parents didn’t not even allow me to touch the SAT Prep Books.
Exam fees: You will have to write two exams. SAT and TOEFL.
$103 for SAT
$165 for TOEFL
SAT is a MUST for getting scholarships. With Scholarship, your cost of studying bachelors degree will be less by several folds.
Applying to 4 to 6 universities is sufficient. That would account to $60 X 4 = $240. Express mail service (DHL) would charge you Rs.900 per application packet. Rs.900 X 4 = Rs.3,600
The tuition fees of the universities I applied and I recommend for undergrads have fees ranging from $15,000 to $20,000.
Among my friends, the ones with great SAT scores have received scholarships that cover 90-95% of tuition fees, the ones with good score have received 75-80% while those with above average score have received 50-60% scholarship.
In case you have exceptional performance in a sport which your university recognizes, you may qualify for Athletic scholarship as well.

Feynman opposed rote learning or unthinking memorization and other teaching methods that emphasized form over function. Clear thinking and clear presentation were fundamental prerequisites for his attention.
"The
first principle is that you must not fool yourself—and you are the
easiest person to fool. So you have to be very careful about that.
After you've not fooled yourself, it's easy not to fool other
scientists. You just have to be honest in a conventional way after

Nice quote:
I
can't recall where I saw this but I thought of it when I read the
title of this thread. Your kids may already be too old and it may not
be the best way to teach "investing" but I still think it
is relevant.
My
children are only 3.5 and 1.5 currently so still on the young side
but I am thinking once they reach 5 yrs of age we can start the
following:
A
weekly allowance of $5 for doing their chores.
$1
goes to taxes
$1
goes to room & board
$1
goes to long-term savings (think college/car fund)
$1
goes to short-term savings (save up for a new toy)
$1
goes to discretionary spending (candy bar at the grocery store)
